I thought this video would help those of you attempting to bias your own Bugera V22s. For one ... the first question is ... what value am I looking for? What's really nice about the Bugera V22 is that the bias control is fairly easily accessed without having to remove the chassis. Had some real cool conversations with Rolf BUSCHMANN (Analyst, Technical Quality Assurance, BEHRINGER International GmbH) and he was able to get me the value required as well as this procedure. So with that ... enjoy the video As with any tube amp ... do not do any probing, groping, or any other digging, rooting around without proper safety considerations. The deadly jolt you would get from the electronics is not the comparatively "mild" (but still potentially deadly) 120 volt zap you may have experienced at least once in your life from an outlet. Other than traveling to Europe and using power adapters, I do not have experience with UK and European 220 volt outlets but imagine those can be just as deadly. And to the Aussie punks that have been trolling and slamming our sites with abuse, threats, spam and misinformation, read my lips ... THIS IS THE OFFICIAL PROCEDURE PROVIDED DIRECT FROM BEHRINGER. Ultimate-guitar.com writes: "This is one place that Behringer should have deviated from the Peavey design and incorporated test points that actually measure the bias current. Unfortunately Behringer stayed with the Peavey bias circuit that measures the negative voltage and NOT the actual plate current ...
